Family Camp
Since 1989 The Epilepsy Center has been hosting a camp for families and individuals impacted by epilepsy. Family Camp takes place over three days in the summer and is full of activities and educational seminars. Traditionally held at Camp Libbey in Defiance, campers celebrate the camp-assigned "theme" during the weekend through craft and other entertaining festivities.
The camp opens on a Friday evening with meet and greets with a camp fire. Saturday is a busy day with educational seminars for the adults and parents, crafts and lawn games for the kids, swimming for all, and concludes with the evening's fun event and campfire.
Mission
The Mission of the Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is to improve the lives of people affected by epilepsy and those with developmental disabilities.
Vision
People with epilepsy and those with developmental disabilities will attain the highest quality of life and gain full acceptance and understanding from the community.
